Jackson mayor: Workers must prove vaccinations by Oct. 15
JACKSON (Miss. (AP) — Jackson’s mayor extended the deadline for city workers showing proof they have been vaccinated against COVID -19.
Jackson Mayor Antarlumumba signed an executive ordering establishing the Oct. 15.
The extension applies to subcontractors and contractors who are paid out of funds under a city contract WLBT TV reported.
Those who do not provide proof of vaccination must have their weekly testing done at their expense. Employers who fail to show proof of vaccination must wear masks while on the job.
