Obrian scores 2 goals, helps FC Dallas tie NYCFC 3-3
HARRISON (N.J.) — Jader Obrian scored both goals to help FC Dallas tie New York City FC, 3-3, on Tuesday night.
Dallas (6 -10-9) only lost one of six away matches, with three draws. New York City (10-8-5 lost its seven-game winning streak at home. This seven-match streak was club record.
Dallas took the lead in the fourth minute, when Obrian made a mistake on defense and scored from close range. Dallas tied the game at 2 in the 63rd after Jesus Ferreira ran past Ricardo Pepi’s defense and sent Sean Johnson diving the wrong direction. Obrian tied the game at 3 with a shot from the corner, which was just short of Johnson’s reach.
For New York Maximiliano Moralez tied the game at 1 in 20th minutes by sending home Jesus Medina’s back-heel pass. For a 2-1 lead in the 57th, Medina sent in a rebound from Moralez’s shot and Talles Magno scored his MLS debut in the 68th.
